Dental On Clarke’s team of dentists are dedicated professionals who are committed to ensuring each and every one of their patients are provided with straightforward and honest advice. Friendly and gentle, each of our dentists regularly attend workshops and conferences to learn new skills, and stay abreast of the very latest techniques so they can provide you with the best possible care.
Dr Peter Norton
Peter graduated from the University of Adelaide Dental School in 2004. He was awarded the Health Partners Prize for Dental Clinical Practice in 2002 and the Australian Society of Prosthodontists Prize for Prosthetic Dentistry in 2004. He was also admitted to the Dean’s List of the Adelaide Dental School.
Peter began work in private practice in Armidale, New South Wales where he offered the full range of general dental care. He continues to offer his services to the Armidale community on a part-time basis.
Outside of dentistry, Peter has been heavily involved in the performing arts. His sporting interests are social tennis and volleyball.
Peter is pleased to offer his particular brand of high-quality, no-nonsense dental care to the Crows Nest area. He has a particular interest in preventing dental problems for his patients through education and a range of preventive treatments. Peter also enjoys offering a range of services in cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry.
Dr Michelle Andrews
Prior to beginning her dental career, Dr Andrews completed an Arts degree with a double major in history and industrial relations. She worked for a number of years in human resources, information technology and banking. She also completed two years of a science degree in preparation for studying dentistry.
Dr Andrews completed a Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. During her studies she participated in a program comparing dental care settings in rural, metropolitan, and remote settings. This included a placement working with the Royal Flying Doctors Service out of their Broken Hill base.
As the mother of two young children, Dr Andrews’ favourite hobby is catching up on sleep.
Dr Andrews enjoys the variety that general dental practice offers. She has a strong commitment to working with her patients to achieve a high level of oral health thereby preventing future dental disease and the need for invasive treatment.
Dr Amelia Fernandes
Dr Amelia Fernandes completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry at the University of Sydney. She then continued on to pursue her dream of becoming a dentist and graduated from the Bachelor of Dentistry program from the University of Sydney in 2012. During her studies she received awards including the Campbell Harry Graham Prize for Proficiency in Clinical Removable Prosthodontics in 4th year of the Bachelor of dentistry program, G. S. Caird Scholarship for Proficiency in Prosthetic Dentistry, Dr John H. Wilson Prize for Proficiency in Prosthetic Dentistry in the Third Year of the Bachelor of Dentistry Program and the Dr Antonia Scott Prize for Proficiency in Oral Diagnosis and Radiology in the Second Year of the Bachelor of Dentistry Program.
Since graduating, Dr Fernandes has enjoyed a balance of working in private practice in Sydney and being a clinical educator in Radiology for the Doctor of Dental Medicine students at the University of Sydney.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Fernandes enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and trying to stay fit.
Providing patients with a personal, caring and professional dental experience is what Dr Fernandes strives for. Her passion for dentistry inspires her commitment to continued education, to stay abreast of the latest dental methods and technologies. With a strong belief in prevention, Dr Fernandes aims to work with her patients towards optimal oral health, providing comfortable and conservative treatment.
